You Can Make Perfume In Your Own Home

without comments

It can be hard to spare the money for your perfumes when everyone is finding things so difficult at the moment. Not many people think of it but you can make your own perfumes at home and this can save a lot of expenses. Perfume makes a great gift for friends and if you make it yourself it won’t cost you too much either.

You can put the ingredients together using standard kitchen equipment and the ingredients are easily obtained. Most people seem to think that perfume can only be produced in a laboratory by white coated scientists.

You should start by deciding which type of perfume you would prefer to produce and once you have done that you can get the ingredients you require. All you need are water, alcohol and you can use vodka for this plus the essential oils and you have the main ingredients you require. You can add additional scents to the mix when you are more experienced but these are all you really need. The different types of perfumes we are all familiar with are cologne, Eau De Cologne and Eau de Toilette. It is a little more involved to make a proper perfume because they are made with blends of animal and vegetable oils.

Every one of them will have an entirely different chemical makeup and they all give very different results from each other. These are inexpensive and are readily available from your local stores. When we have obtained all the ingredients and got all of the equipment we will require together we can get on and make the perfume.

The essential oils are the most important ingredient you will need in your perfume as this will decide how fragrant it is. Every one of them has a different chemical make up so they all provide a slightly different result from the others. It will help if you learn what is meant by the base, middle, top and bridge notes which are all terms used to describe the perfume.

You can find books and other information about making perfume at home on the Internet and you can buy kits that come complete with an instructional manual. These kits cost anything from $30 to $60 and have everything you need for mixing and storing your finished product.
